Bryan Sartor sentenced for crime involving a baby’s death

A Holts Summit man was sentenced to probation Monday on child endangerment and drug charges.

Bryan Sartor pleaded guilty in February to the charges after a 9-month-old was found dead last June.

While investigating the death of Kyson Weathers, officers found meth in the home. Sartor admitted to using meth and checking on the baby 11 hours after putting him to sleep.

At a sentencing Monday, the prosecuting attorney asked the court for four years in prison.

Sartor was sentenced to fourteen years in prison for two counts of child endangerment and seven years for a drug possession charge, to be served concurrently. Those sentences, however, were suspended and he was placed on five years of supervised probation.

Sartor and the baby’s mother, Megan Ayers, were both charged. Ayers is currently serving five years in prison for the crime.
