Citizens Police Review Board meets to discuss how Columbia Police Department handles complaints

Columbia police need to make a few changes to how they handle complaints, according to the Citizens Police Review Board that met Saturday morning.

The board audited three complaints against the department.

Members told ABC 17 News that overall, the department does a good job of following procedures when handling complaints.

But they did recommend the department set up a checklist to ensure more continuity and faster response.
