Flames break out in back of south Columbia restaurant

Parts of a south Columbia restaurant were burnt after a small blaze broke out Monday afternoon.

Crews said flames broke out in the back of Buckingham’s off Nifong around 4 p.m.

The ceiling of the smoker room caught on fire. The inside of the restaurant also filled with smoke but did not see any heavy damage.
