Sheldon Richardson NFL Draft preview
In the past five years, Missouri has been home to multiple first round draft picks, and this year looks to be no different.
Defensive Lineman Sheldon Richardson is the latest former Missouri Tiger projected to go in the first round of this years NFL Draft.
If that happens, he will be the sixth Tiger to be drafted in the first round in the past five years.
Currently, ESPN projects Richardson as the 11th best prospect in the draft. In Todd McShay’s latest mock draft, he has Richardson going 18th to the Dallas Cowboys. Mel Kiper Jr. has him going 14th to the Carolina Panthers.
Central Missouri’s Logan Freeman is also hoping to hear his name called during this Thursday’s draft. Freeman, an offensive lineman from Helias has been hearing he could go in either the 6th or 7th rounds. During the Super Regional Combine in Dallas he ran a 5.0-5.1 40, he jokes ranks pretty high for the big guys. He tells ABC 17 he plans to go golfing Saturday and wait for his phone to ring.
