Mizzou hoops officially signs DaJuan Gordon
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou men's basketball team officially signed transfer guard DaJuan Gordon on Wednesday.
The Chicago native played his first two seasons at Kansas State. This past year - Gordon averaged 9.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
"DaJuan is a really athletic, gifted guard who brings a high level of passion and intensity to the court every single day," head coach Cuonzo Martin said in a release. "He plays physical, tough basketball on both ends, and we're excited to have him be a part of that culture we've built at Mizzou."
Gordon will have three years of eligibility remaining.
"I wanted to come to Mizzou because I want to play for Coach Martin," Gordon said in a release. "He's a tough coach, and he's all about winning."
The former No. 3 overall recruit in Illinois is getting it done in the classroom as well. As a freshman, he posted a 4.0 GPA.
Gordon is one of three players to transfer to Mizzou so far this offseason. He's joined by Amari Davis (Green Bay) and Jarron Coleman (Ball State). MU has not officially announced Coleman as of yet, but he committed to play for the Tigers last week.
