Mizzou adds point guard to recruiting class

Missouri has added another point guard to their nationally-ranked recruiting class.

Head Coach Frank Haith added Shane Rector, a 6-foot, 175-pound point guard from South Kent School in South Kent, Conn. Rector signed with Mizzou on Monday. He averaged a team-leading 17.4 points and 7.1 assists as a senior.

Haith says Rector can attack the rim and create for his teammates, adding “Shane is also a capable scorer, but he is similar to Wes (Clark) in that he has a knack for making those around him better and that’s what we want in our point guards.”

He joins a squad which features fellow incoming point guard, Michigan native Wes Clark.
