Fulton woman injured in morning crash on Highway 54
A two-car crash early Saturday morning in Fulton sent one 85-year-old woman to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to a news release, the woman was driving a 1988 Pontiac on County Road 306 around 10:12 a.m. She tried to cross Highway 54 and was hit on the driver’s side by an oncoming Toyota van.
The van spun into the median and the Pontiac blocked both lanes of the highway.
Fulton fire crews had to extricate the woman from the vehicle before transporting her to the hospital.
Two people and a service dog inside the Toyota refused treatment at the scene.
