DGB steals the show

The Missouri Tiger football team held its second scrimmage of the spring Saturday morning inside Devine Pavilion.

The defense, on the strength of six turnovers, won for the second straight Saturday, 29-9. It wasn’t that unit, however, that had everyone talking afterwards.

Sophomore wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham caught eight passes for 135 yards and a touchdown.

The scoring play came when Green-Beckham beat his man on a post-corner route. Quarterback James Franklin hit the wide receiver on the sideline near two defenders. After the catch, DGB then showed the natural athleticism that made him last year’s top recruit, spinning away from both defenders and racing into the end zone for a 50-yard score.

In two scrimmages this spring, Green-Beckham has tallied 15 catches totaling 217 yards and two touchdowns.
