Aquapalooza changes venues this year
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
An annual boating event at the Lake of the Ozarks will change locations this year.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the permit for Shady Gators to host Aquapalooza has been denied.
Troopers say the permit was denied due to safety concerns on the water in that area of the lake.
Aquapalooza is now expected to happen on July 17th at Captain Ron's.
The highway patrol tells us it expects to approve the permit for this location.
Aquapalooza is marketed as the lake's largest family boating event.
Officials say there will be live music and activities all day long.
