MGN Online

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A pavement repair project will improve the driving surface along sections of Interstate 70 throughout Boone and Callaway County beginning next week.

Starting Monday, a Missouri Department of Transportation contractor will begin making pavement repairs at various locations along both directions of the interstate between the Cedar Creek bridge, located east of Columbia, and Kingdom City.

Once that work has been completed, crews will repair pavement from the Callaway County/ Montgomery County line to the Boone County/Cooper County line. Crews will make repairs on various interstate ramps along the same stretch of roadway.

This work will require intermittent lane closures in both directions of I-70 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The project is expected to be completed by November 2021. .
