Animals Seized in Holts Summit

Animal rescue volunteers found about 40 cats at a home in Holts Summit Monday morning.Around 9 a.m., volunteers responded to the 400 block of Nieman Road. Holts Summit police officers say the animal removal came as a result of complaints from neighbors last year.The cats were taken to a local shelter where they will be kept and treated before being available for adoption.The animals’ owners will face charges in Holts Summit Municipal Court. They are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
