Storm Causes Power Outages

***UPDATE WEDNESDAY 9:20 A.M.***Ameren Missouri is still reporting outages in Boone, Cooper, Callaway, Camden, Howard, Miller, Moniteau and Randolph counties. For those areas customer outages are below 1,500.At this hour more than 5,000 Boone Electric Cooperative members are affected by outages.***UPDATE WEDNESDAY 5:51 A.M.***As of Wednesday morning, officials with Boone Electric cooperative say several thousand customers are still without power. Authorities in Howard County say it could be a couple of days before power is restored to those in the dark there. Other outages are still being reported in Boone, Cole, Cooper, Miller and Morgan counties.***UPDATE 6:25 P.M.***The biggest outage in Mid-Missouri is with Boone Electric Cooperative customers. There are currently 11,178 still without electricity. Crews are actively working to restore the power to the customers. They did not give a timeline on how long it might take.There are also thousands of Ameren Missouri customers without power. The majority of those live in Cooper, Morgan and Miller counties. Crews from St. Louis are being brought in to help get that power restored.***UPDATE 9:32 A.M.***Traffic lights in Columbia are out along Providence at Stewart, Locust, Ash and Rogers. Lights also out at Stadium and College Ave.***UPDATE 8:53 A.M.***Just talked to Columbia Water and Light. Another circuit has been fixed and fewer than 500 customers are without power now.***UPDATE 8:35 A.M.***Columbia Water and Lights says there have been 4,000 customers without power at some point today with more than 40 outages. As of 8:00 the number of customers out was down to 1,500.***UPDATE 6:31 A.M.***Getting reports from Facebook and emergency scanner traffic of lines down on Amelia in Columbia. McBane and Dean Streets also seeing trees down and impacting electricity.***UPDATE 6:12 A.M.***Columbia Water and Light says fewer than 1,000 customers are without power. ***UPDATE 6:05 A.M.***Columbia Water and Light is reporting outages in Parkade subdivision and in the area of Providence and Stadium.***UPDATE 5:58 A.M.***Pettis County EMA Director Dave Clippert reports 500 KCPL customers are without power in Sedalia. There’s about seven inches of snow on the ground in downtown Sedalia.***UPDATE 5:55 A.M***Viewers contacting us through our Facebook page are reporting power outages in Morgan County. Trees are reported down across roads in Versailles. There are also power outages in Randolph and Howard Counties.***UPDATE 5:15 A.M.***Cooper County authorities report sporadic power outages in the county. Officials say a tree is leaning on power lines near Otterville causing concerns. Ameren Missouri has more than 2,200 customers without power.Boone Electric is reporting more than 1,300 with no power.***UPDATE 3:30 A.M.***Ameren Missouri now reports nearly 1,400 customers are without power near Holts Summit, Freesburg and Clarksburg.Boone Electric Cooperative is reporting about 150 customers are without power as of 3 a.m.
