Fake Bills Passed in Callaway Co

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office is looking a woman suspected of passing counterfeit $100 bills.According to officials, they have received several reports of the fake bills within the last few days. The bills were used at Casey’s and Dollar General in Auxvasse and Ozarkland in Kingdom City on February 24. Casey’s employees and an area bank told law enforcement that bills with matching serial numbers were also passed in Laddona, Vandalia and Martinsburg.The Sheriff’s Office says the counterfeit suspect is a white female in her mid-to-late 20s, 5’9″ tall, with a thin build and shoulder-length hair. The Sheriff says the woman appears to be pregnant and has a noticeable Southern accent.The suspect is driving a newer black Chevrolet Impala with no license plates. Surveillance video shows the woman exiting the vehicle on the passenger side, indicating she may not be acting alone.
