Rebuilding After Winter Storm

A business in Fayette plans to reconstruct after the winter storm on Tuesday led to the collapse of their building.The building and the business’ reopening both depend on how bad the damage is.E.O. Recycle is one business leasing a spot in the building where the roof collapsed. Their CEO, Debra Miller, says she received a call Tuesday afternoon about a roof that fell through her building. Miller finally went over to the building Wednesday afternoon to try to remove any equipment from the building.City officials blocked off a small part of Route 240 so no one can walk or drive in front of the building. When crews come to clean up, the structural integrity of the building will hopefully be maintained. Fayette building inspector Angie Malone says this is the first building in the city to collapse due to weather.
