Man Dies After Minor Crash

A Stover man collapsed and died Saturday afternoon after a crash on Highway 52 near Versailles.40-year old Schuyler Stegmann was a passenger in a car drive by his wife, Katherine, when they were hit from behind near the intersection with Missouri 5 East.According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, Stegmann got out of his Subaru Outback to examine the damage and passed out in the road. He was taken to Lake Regional Hospital, where he died a couple of hours later.The report gives no indication what may have caused the crash or Stegmann’s death.
