MoDOT seeks public comment on 2022 westbound Interstate 70 bridge rehabilitation project

MGN Online

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on plans regarding the rehabilitations of two westbound Interstate 70 bridges located between Columbia and Kingdom City.

MoDOT reports the 50-year-old bridges over Little Cedar Creek in Callaway County and Cedar Creek in Boone County have both reached the point where rehabilitation is necessary to extend the life and usability of the bridges by 15 years.

All I-70 lanes will be open to traffic during daytime hours. Work crews will work overnight with single-lane closures during construction on both bridges.

This project is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.
