Man Charged for Moberly Shooting
***UPDATE Friday 6 P.M***A Jack Nathaniel Cox was charged Friday. He is facing charges of Burglary in the 1st degree, 1st degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action.***UPDATE 3:20 P.M.***Investigators confirmed the suspect is a 44-year-old man. His bond was set at $200,000. His name will not be released until he is formally charged.Police accuse him of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and maintaining a public nuisance. Three people were arrested for drugs, but their names are also withheld until they are officially charged.***UPDATE 12:01 P.M.****Police confirmed the 32-year-old woman was shot in the back. One person is in custody, but the case is still under investigation.***ORIGINAL STORY***A woman is recovering after she was shot early this morning in Moberly.Detectives were called around 1:40 a.m. Thursday to the 600 block of West Lee. The woman was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center and later transferred to University Hospital in Columbia.The victim was in stable condition. The shooting is currently under investigation by the Moberly and Huntsville Police Department and the Randolph County Sheriff’s office.More details are expected later today.
