Columbia Man Accused of Forgery

A Boone County man has been charged with forgery for allegedly writing company checks to himself.Cory R. Hall, 24, of Columbia was charged with three counts of forgery and arraigned in court Tuesday. According to Ashland police, Hall is accused of forging checks from his employer, EZ Trailers.Court documents state that Hall wrote nearly two dozen checks to himself, totaling approximately $3,500. Hall allegedly told investigators he used the money to pay personal bills.Hall remains in the Boone County Jail on $22,500 bail.
