Man Arrested After Chase, Crash

***UPDATE 7:08 P.M.***25-year-old Kyle Hargrett was spotted near College and the Business Loop, and police say he smelled like alcohol.Hargrett was arrested on DWI and five other charges. He bonded out hours later.***ORIGINAL STORY***Columbia police arrested a man after fleeing a traffic stop and crashing into a bar on Business Loop 70 East.An officer tried to stop the man for a minor traffic violation, but the driver didn’t stop. The officer didn’t chase the suspect but instead followed him until the driver crashed into the Thirsty Turtle.The driver tried to get away on foot but was arrested. Columbia firefighters were called to the scene to inspect the Thirsty Turtle for structural damage.
