10/11: Severe Weather Potential

The weather around Mid-Missouri will be quiet Thursday and Friday with clouds and highs in the mid 60s. A warm front will lift northward Friday night, bringing humid, more unstable air to the region. Highs will reach the low 80s Saturday with breezy southwest winds gusting to 30 mph at times. A cold front will move in the during the late evening. A line of storms is expected to push into the western portions of Mid-Missouri by the early evening. The storms should be near HWY 63 between 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. and then move eastward by Sunday morning.The main threat of severe weather will be damaging winds with a very low chance for hail and isolated tornadoes.Be sure to check back for the latest updates on the weekend forecast.
