10/18: Strong Winds Thursday

Wind gusts may be as high as 40 mph Thursday afternoon with sustained winds from 20 to 30 mph. Winds will be westerly Thursday as Mid-Missouri is centered between a strong storm system over Minnesota and a high pressure area over the panhandle of Texas. The difference in pressure between the two systems will fuel the strong winds over the area Thursday. Winds will also remain strong Thursday night into Friday. Clouds will push in from the north Thursday with showers possible Thursday night. Friday will be mostly cloudy with clearing late.
