“Perversion Files” Released

Boy Scouts of America released confidential files Thursday, including details of 46 cases of sexual abuse of boys in Missouri. Most of the cases are from troops in St. Louis and Kansas City, but there are some in Neosho, in southwest Missouri, Fort Leonard Wood, and Chillicothe. More than 14,000 pages of information being called “perversion files” were released Thursday, dating from 1959 to 1985. Victims names were redacted from the documents, although names of reporting parties were included if those parties were employees of the Boy Scouts organization.
