House Fire Under Investigation

The fire marshal is now investigating a house fire in Callaway County as a possible arson.The fire broke out just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, near the 140 mile marker on I-70.Several fire departments were called to the scene, including units from Callaway and Millersburg. When crews arrived, they saw flames showing from the home, but the fire was quickly extinguished.No one was at home at the time and there was minimal damage to the exterior of the home.Firefighters tell ABC 17 News the fire is suspicious in nature. While at the scene, an ABC 17 News crew saw a gas container on the roof of the home.
