Mother Charged in Baby’s Death
The mother of an 18-month-old baby found dead in July has been charged with murder.Lydia Iliff, 32, of Sedalia has been charged with two counts of second degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child, and tampering with a motor vehicle in Saline County Circuit Court.In July, searchers found the baby near the Blackwater River after Iliff showed up at someone’s house and recalled leaving the girl there. Iliff’s initial arraignment date has not been yet. She remains jailed in Saline County on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
