Cops Arrest Assault Suspect
***UPDATED 9:30 AM***MUPD officers arrested the man they say assaulted two women on campus.Timothy Anderson, 19, was arrested Thursday night on two counts of third degree assault. He is being held in the Boone County Jail as of Friday morning on a $1,000 bond.***ORIGINAL STORY***The University of Missouri Police Department is searching for a man in connection with a pair of assaults on campus.Police say the first incident occurred along Ninth Street near Speaker’s Circle around 9:35 a.m Wednesday. The female victim said an unknown male came up behind her and put his arms around her. She attempted to free herself, but was unable to get free.The suspect then released her and allegedly said, “Oh, I thought you were someone else,” and ran from the scene. The victim was uninjured. Cops then say a second report of assault occurred just before 5 p.m. Thursday. Another female victim told police she was walking up the stairs of the Hitt Street Garage when a subject began following her. The suspect walked up to her, got very close and asked if he knew the victim. The victim responded that she did not know the subject but felt threatened by him. The subject then walked away.Both incidents are being treated as assaults.The suspect is described as a white male, college-aged, about 6 feet all, with a thin build, dark brown hair and brown eyes.
