Fire Damages Motor Parts Store
***UPDATE THURSDAY 8 P.M.***Fire investigators say the cause of the fire will likely be undetermined. They say there was so much damage that there is still do dollar estimate.***UPDATE THURSDAY 7:18 A.M.***The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but fire officials do know it started in a machine shop/store room area of Champion Motor Parts.While the fire was contained to the auto parts store there was minor smoke damage to neighboring businesses.No one was hurt in the blaze.***UPDATE 11:07 P.M.***Fire officials have confirmed that the fire was actually in Champion Motor Parts, not in Enis Appliance as originally reported. Dispatchers called firefighters to Enis Appliance after receiving multiple calls about smoke pouring from that business. However, the building that houses Enis Appliance, also houses Champion Motor Parts, and firefighters determined that the smoke and flames were coming from the auto parts business. ***ORIGINAL STORY***Police are re-routing traffic around the block of Business Loop 70 East between Garth Avenue and Providence Road while firefighter battle a blaze at the Enis Appliance store. ABC 17 News crews arrived as the first firefighters showed up on the scene to find heavy smoke billowing from the building which houses Enis Appliance and Carlito’s Mexican Restaurant. Dispatchers called the fire out at Enis Appliance store at 9:09 PM. Firefighters immediately raised an aerial ladder, and approximately 20 fire and medic units are on the scene as of one hour later.
