Man Pleads Guilty to Bomb Charge

A Sedalia man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to planting a home-made bomb in the parking lot of a Warsaw, Mo. Wal-Mart.22-year-old Nathan Louis St. Cyr pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing a destructive device.Court documents state St. Cyr attempted to return items to the Warsaw Wal-Mart store, but left after a confrontation with some employees. He was then captured on surveillance video going to a nearby gas station to purchase gas in a container. He than placed wooden matches inside the container and left it near a car in the parking lot before leaving the area.A Warsaw police officer examined the container and said the device had a push button igniter that was hanging on by a wire. ATF investigators later identified the device as an incendiary bomb and rendered it safe.The documents state a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper located St. Cyr on Highway 65 and when the trooper tried to pull him over, St. Cyr led officers on a chase reaching up to 109 miles per hour. St. Cyr later stopped the vehicle and began to flee on foot before being taken into custody.A sentencing date has not been set yet.
