Man Arrested for Child Porn

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Columbia man on child pornography charges Tuesday.Detectives say FBI agents seized a cell phone as part of an investigation in Ohio. After searching the phone, those agents found a person had sent child porn images to the Ohio suspect. Phone records indicated the person who sent the images resided in Columbia.Law enforcement arrested 39-year-old Charles D. DeCarr II for suspicion of the sexual exploitation of a minor, promoting child pornography, and possession of child pornography. While serving a search warrant, authorities found two children, ages 2 and 5, and took them into protective custody. Detectives say the children were those depicted in the photos.DeCarr remains in the Boone County Jail as of Wednesday evening on a $300,000 bond.
