MU Receives $30 Million Gift

The University of Missouri announced Thursday morning the university will receive the largest endowment gift in its history.The Reynolds Journalism Institute will receive a $30.1 million gift from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. In 2004, the foundation gave more than $31 million to jumpstart the institute on MU’s campus.The university says the latest gift will establish a permanent endowment fund to support ongoing operating expenses.”This endowment ensures that the Reynolds Institute will benefit future generations of citizens with its groundbreaking work on new methods and models of journalism,” MU Chancellor Brady Deaton said in a statement.
