Billboards Used to Find Witness

The father of convicted killer Ryan Ferguson has launched a new plan of attack after his son lost an appeal for a new trial earlier this month.Bill Ferguson plans to put up billboards along I-70 in Columbia starting November 26th. The billboard will move along the interstate every month for the next six months.”We want to find this person and have him come forth as a witness,” said Bill Ferguson. “We don’t believe that he was involved in the crime, but we do believe he came up onto the victim after the murder had taken place.”Ferguson says he is in the process of appealing Judge Green’s decision to a higher court.Ryan Ferguson was convicted in 2005 of killing Columbia Tribune Sports Editor Kent Heitholt. He is currently in the Jefferson City Correctional Center serving a 40-year sentence for his role in the 2001 killing.
