One Killed, One Injured in Crash

One person is dead and another is seriously injured following a Tuesday evening car crash in Camden County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a van driven by John Garcia, 50, of Camdenton ran off of Bear Paw Road and struck a tree around 5 p.m. The medical examiner pronounced Garcia dead at the scene.The passenger in the vehicle, 48-year-old Amber Rogers of Sunrise Beach was seriously injured. She was flown by helicopter to University Hospital.Troopers say Rogers was wearing a seat belt while Garcia was not.
