Man Shot During Home Break-in

***UPDATE 7:46 P.M.***Police confirmed Monday two men broke into the home on Carol Drive near Rice Road and Ballenger. They demanded valuables, but only escaped with a bottle of liquor.One man was shot in the leg and later released from the hospital. ABC 17 talked to one of the victims, who said her 3-year-old daughter witnessed all of it.The suspects wore hoodies, with bandanas and masks covering their faces, so descriptions are limited.***ORIGINAL STORY***Columbia police are investigating an overnight home invasion.It happened before 2 a.m. Monday on Carol Drive. Someone called police saying two masked subjects broke into the home armed with handguns. The caller also reported someone was shot in the leg.
