Two Killed In Head-On Crash

MARSHALL, Mo. (AP) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two Saline County residents have been killed in a head-on collision in a rural part of the county.According to state troopers, 60-year-old Sherry Hess of Slater and 20-year-old Jeremy Rader died after the crash shortly before 8 a.m. Monday on Missouri 240, about a mile south of Route P.The Highway Patrol says Hess was westbound in a 2004 Jeep when she crossed the center line and collided with a 1993 Jeep driven by Rader.Hess was pronounced dead at the scene, while Rader died at an area hospital about an hour after the crash.Investigators say both drivers were wearing seat belts.
