12/5: Meteorological Fall Stats

Temperatures have been well above average for this past winter, spring and summer (see stats below) along with drought conditions that set in during the summer. A cooler weather pattern developed in September and has persisted through the fall. -through Dec. 3, Columbia’s average temperature for the year so far is 61.3, which is the warmest on record through that date-the next warmest year through Dec. 3 was 1938 at 60.5 degrees-the 10th warmest year through Dec. 3 was 1941 at 59.0 degreesFall Climate Stats (Sept – Nov)- Avg temp: 56.0 [right at the average] Normal: 56.0 – Warmest: 95 (Sept 7th)- Coldest: 16 (Nov 27th)- Precipitation: 6.31″ [4.12″ below average ] Normal: 10.43″ – Snow: none [0.9″ below average] Normal: 0.9″
