Traffic Eases After Crash

Both lanes of I-70 E were closed after an accident in Columbia. Traffic was backed up Friday night from mile marker 129 to Stadium Boulevard.Three cars were involved in an accident at around 9:15 p.m. Two children had to be taken by ambulance to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Emergency crews didn’t initially know the childrens’ conditions, but say they didn’t believe they were life-threatening.As of 10:30 pm, crews were still on scene, cleaning up gasoline and debris, which covered the road.One lane is still closed, but traffic is moving smoothly.
