Two Men Wanted by Deputies

Callaway County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two men who ran from authorities during a traffic stop.Around 9:20 a.m. Friday, a deputy pulled over a vehicle in Calwood. When the vehicle stopped, 37-year-old Jeffrey D. Strickland left the car and attempted to flee on foot. The deputy tried to restrain him, but officials say Strickland assaulted and injured the deputy. Strickland then continued to flee and despite a search, deputies could not find him.While deputies were searching for Strickland, a second man in the vehicle, 32-year-old Dustin W. Brewer fled the scene in the car.Strickland is wanted on two outstanding warrants while Brewer is wanted on six outstanding warrants.If arrested, Strickland is facing charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and felony resisting arrest.
