Mizzou Player Arrested for Drugs
***UPDATE 3:20 P.M.***The University of Missouri Athletics Department confirmed today that Ka’Ra Stewart has been dismissed from the football program.***ORIGINAL STORY***Another University of Missouri football player has been arrested for drug possession.University of Missouri police arrested freshman safety Ka’Ra Stewart, 18, Monday afternoon for drug possession of under 35 grams.MUPD Captain Brian Weimer says Stewart was arrested in South Hall on Monday. Officers were called to the room because of a marijuana smell. When the officers arrived, Stewart allegedly would not allow cops inside. Once police obtained a search warrant, they reportedly found marijuana and took Stewart into custody.According to online records, Stewart bonded out of the Boone County Jail after paying $500 bail. Criminal charges have not been filed yet.Court records show this is Stewart’s second offense for drug possession. He pleaded guilty on December 5th for drug possession of under 35 grams and paid a $200 court fine. He was arrested on November 9th by Boone County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
