Mizzou’s Mauller falls in semifinals

ST. LOUIS (KMIZ)

The Mizzou wrestling team is currently in a tie for sixth place after Day 2 at the NCAA Championships.

MU standout Brock Mauller lost his semifinal match 2-1 in overtime on Friday night. He will be one of three Tiger wrestlers to compete for third place on Saturday. Freshman standouts Keegan O'Toole and Rocky Elam will also wrestle for third.

Despite the loss - Mauller is now a three-time All-American. O'Toole and Elam each earned All-American status as well.

Meanwhile, former Mizzou and Tolton wrestler Jaydin Eierman will wrestle for a national championship on Saturday at 141 pounds. He's now a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
