12/31: Accumulating Snow

A winter storm will bring snowfall total amounts between 2 to 4″ for Mid-Missouri. Most of the accumulating snow will fall through the early-afternoon with 1 to 3″ of snow possible. Up to an additional inch will be possible late-Monday evening as the back edge of the system moves through. During the late-afternoon and early-evening, drizzle, freezing drizzle and flurries will be possible as temperatures hover near the freezing mark.Overnight, flurries will end with clouds lingering and lows in the upper 10s and low 20s. Some roads may become slick if untreated and as refreezing occurs overnight.
