12/31: Wintry New Year’s Eve

The backside of our winter storm system will move through the region tonight bringing periods of light snow through late evening, tapering off to flurries by midnight. Freezing drizzle is possible as the snow tapers off through the early morning hours along with areas of fog. Temperatures will continue to fall and moisture on roads will freeze, leading to areas of black ice. Travelers are advised to use caution as roads are likely to be slick overnight.
