Also listen to hear if it’s making any unusual noises.”Ledbetter recommends checking your furnace at least twice a year. Especially to prevent a more serious problem of leaking carbon monoxide. “That’s always a main concern because a build up of carbon monoxide can lead to death,” Ledbetter said, “The best way to prevent this is to get a working carbon monoxide detector.”Ledbetter also says a good temperature to keep your home at is around 70 degrees.
