Suspected Gunman Turns Self In

***UPDATE FRIDAY 4:58 P.M.***Police say Daleron Monroe turned himself in around 1:30 p.m. Friday. ***ORIGINAL STORY***Jefferson City police think they have the name of a gunman still on the loose after shooting a man in the face New Year’s day.Officers say Daleron Monroe, 26, was fighting at Club Motivation before the gunfire erupted at Phillips 66 by Stadium and Highway 54.Two people, Byron Betts, 29, and Brandon Betts, 29, were taken into custody Wednesday in connection to the crime.Brandon Betts was the man shot in the face, and also picked up for selling drugs.Byron Betts is accused of armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was released shortly after his arrest before he was charged.Investigators are not releasing what the argument was about because it is a key piece, and they do not want to tip off the suspects.Several Mid-Missouri agencies are currently looking for Monroe, including Columbia police.
