High Speed Chase Ends in Crash

Two Tuscumbia men are in the Callaway County jail after a high speed chase across the county early Saturday morning.Kasey Nelson and Cody Glore are accused of leaving a traffic stop near Holts Summit just after 1 a.m. and leading deputies on a 40 mile chase, hitting top speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, according to a news release. The chase went from Holts Summit through Tebbets, Mokane, Steedman, and Portland.The chase ended at the intersection Old Highway 40 and State Road A when the car crashed. State Highway Patrol and Fulton police helped in the pursuit.Nelson, the driver, was arrested on pending charges ranging from drug possession to reckless driving. Glore could face similar drug charges.Nelson is in the Callaway County Jail on $20,000 bond. Glore was being held on $9,000 bond.
