JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Lincoln University in Jefferson City announced the dates and times for its in-person graduation ceremonies on Monday morning.

Other Mid-Missouri colleges and universities have made similar announcements recently.

A release from the university said graduation ceremonies for 2021 graduates will be held over a three-day period to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The first commencement will be held at noon on May 14 and will include graduates from the school of education. The school of nursing will be included in the next ceremony at 6 p.m. on the same day.

The release said two graduation ceremonies will be held on May 15 and one more on the following day. It did not say where the events are being held.

University officials said in the announcement that attendees will need tickets to enter. The release did not say how many people each graduate would be allowed to invite.

On Friday, Columbia College officials announced its graduation ceremonies will be held in-person at Mizzou Arena on May 1. The college had previously said in mid-February graduation would be held virtually.

The University of Missouri is also holding graduation in-person with multiple dates scheduled in April and May.
