Tracking afternoon rain

FRIDAY: We’ll start off the day dry but that changes by midday. More showers will push in and look like they’ll be for pretty much all of us. With plenty of moisture present, some of these will be on the moderate to heavy side at times throughout the day. Highs will only top out in the low 50’s once again with a breeze out of the northeast.

TONIGHT: Rain sticks around tonight before slowly starting to push south in the predawn hours Saturday. Lows will bottom out in the lower 40’s tonight.

EXTENDED: The rain won’t completely leave the area Saturday, but will back off in coverage. That scattered nature will hold throughout the day and into Sunday morning. That’s ahead of another line of showers pushes in, bringing our best chance for more widespread rain Sunday afternoon. Highs both days this weekend will be in the 50’s. Some leftover showers will rotate through Monday as the parent disturbance moves through before finally clearing us to the east by Tuesday. Highs will nudge closer to 60 for the first two days of next week. Another system pushes in towards Wednesday, bringing another shot at rain and some cooler temperatures to end next week.
