Motorcycle driver suffers serious injuries in Moniteau County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A California, Missouri man was taken by helicopter to University Hospital on Sunday after a crash on Highway 50.

Jay Wilton, 56, was hurt when his Harley Davidson motorcycle went off the road and overturned on Highway 50 at Route H in Moniteau County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report. Wilton was not wearing a helmet.

A passenger, Blanche Estep, 58, of California, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital with moderate injuries. She was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
