Man suspected of child abduction and St. Louis County homicide found dead
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The man suspected of a late Thursday night homicide and an early Friday morning child abduction has been found dead, according to local reports.
ABC 17's sister station in St. Louis, KTVI, reported the man suspected of both incidents, Bobby McCulley III, 35, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound. KTVI said McCulley's vehicle was found around 8 a.m. in the 1300 block of Clinton in St. Louis with the man's body inside.
The state highway patrol canceled the Amber Alert around 4:40 a.m., which was originally sent out at 3:44 a.m. The 1-year-old girl was later found safe, an updated alert said.
The highway patrol says McCulley took his daughter, Zoe Page Hurst McCulley, from a murder scene in Florissant at 11:32 p.m. Thursday.
St. Louis County police said in a news release that warrants for charges including murder and kidnapping had been issued for McCulley on Friday. The release didn't specify what time those warrants were issued.
Police said they arrested Michelle Clayton, 55, of St. Louis, on a warrant for hindering prosecution. She was being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
KTVI said St. Louis County police found a 34-year-old woman and two children with gunshot wounds at a residence in the northern part of the county. Authorities said all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
