Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office release report on fatal Iberia fire
IBERIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Missouri State Fire Marshal's office reports the fatal Iberia fire was accidental.
The report states that evidence from the explosion and fire was found in the basement at the home on the 200 block of Lombar St.
The report states the marshal's office is unable to eliminate a propane gas leak being ignited from the pilot light of the propane-fired furnace as the probable cause of the explosion and fire.
This explosion and resulting fire is therefore listed as accidental.
Patricia Hendee died from her injuries int he fire.
One person was taken to a local hospital for injuries from the fire.
