Salisbury man dies in Chariton County wreck with train

CHARITON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Salisbury man has died after his vehicle slid into the path of a train.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Leland Linneman, 60, was driving on Cal Hubbard Ave, three and a half miles west of Salisbury, when he attempted to stop at a railroad crossing.

The crash report reveals that Linneman's 2011 GMC 3500 slid into the path of the train.

The report states there were no electronic signal devices at the crossing.

Linneman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
