Tracking sunshine

THURSDAY: Some patchy fog will be possible as we work our way through the morning commute. Once that lifts around 9-10 AM, we’ll be left with a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of the day. Temperatures will only top out in the low to mid 20’s, but we’re heading in the right direction.

TONIGHT: With partly cloudy skies overhead and a pretty fresh snowpack, we’re looking at a pretty cold night. Temperatures look to tumble into the low single digits, with a few threatening zero. With high pressure moving in, we’re not expecting much wind, so that will help.

EXTENDED: Some more sunshine will close the book on an otherwise active week. That will help bump temperatures into the upper 20’s on Friday. By Saturday, with more sunshine, temperatures will make a run at 40 in some spots. Our next disturbance moves in Sunday, and depending on the timing, could bring a light wintry mix at the onset. Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 30’s to low 40’s, so that will transition to a cold rain. Most of this precipitation is expected to fall as liquid at the moment, and remain fairly light. Monday and Tuesday next week we get back to the warming trend. We’ll see highs reach the upper 40’s and low 50’s, where they’ll hang out for much of next week.
